Stratford, Ontario.

My wife and I went to see this year's production of A Midsummer's Night Dream (MND) at the Stratford Festival. MND stands up to a lot of interpretation -- and it survived this one too, although for the life of me, I can't understand why Shakespeare gets reinterpreted. This time, it was reinterpreted and set somewhere in the Spain. The play has stood the test of time -- over 400 years -- really, it's OK folks -- no need to be artsy-fartsy and change the damn play. The Spanish interpretation just distracted from the play. Having said that, the faeries were really cool. They were done very well. I took some pictures while in Stratford -- check them out.

Mother's Day @ Cullen Gardens
The girls and I took my wife to Cullen Gardens for Mother's Day -- back in May. I took some pictures, and here are a few. Cullen Gardens and Minature Village is located just outside of Toronto, Canada. It's a nice place to visit for a long walk in a garden. They expend quite a deal of effort to keep the place blooming. The minature village comes complete with a number of toy trains at clank about the garden.

Canada Blooms
My wife and I attended the Canada Blooms show during the spring in Toronto. Here's a few of the pictures I took. The lighting is bad because this was all indoors and I didn't use the flash.

Back in June, my daughters took me to the Toronto ComicCon for Father's Day. I used to collect comics. A lot has changed. And a lot hasn't changed.
I controlled myself.
I bought nothing.

World Fare -- July 3rd
These were taken back in the beginning of July at Toronto's Harbourfront Centre World Fare Festival. Quite a mouthful I know.
I came here with my family -- it was our first, and so far, only trip to Harbourfront Centre this summer. In previous years, I've visited multiple times during the summer to catch the various summer festivals.
This first time was for the World Fare, which is a celebration of the diversity in Toronto. We came early, enjoyed some food under the great "Tent 'O' Food" -- I had African, which was absolutely great!
The first show we enjoyed was Kiran Ahluwalia's concert. She's East Indian. I actually recognized some of the songs. The second act was Besh o droM. They were loud!
